Job Summary: Looking for an Assistant Retail Sales Store Manger to represent our business, and assist the Retail Sales Store Mgr. in creating and leading a team to sell merchandise to customers by performing the following duties. Knowledge of boating and outdoor equipment helpful.

Essential Functions:

Work with Store Manager to manage day-to-day operations of the store to meet all operational staffing and merchandising objectives.

Proven ability to lead, coach, and build team relationships in an environment of fast change; must be able to manage, direct, and motivate a diverse team

Strong project management and leadership skills needed to organize promo sales, delegate tasks, interview new staff members, set and maintain standards.

Work with Store Manager on maintaining employee performance levels, training employees and scheduling employees to fit the needs of the store and any other sales events.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment

Must demonstrate an exemplary commitment to provide and teach exceptional customer service skills; must be able to learn, retain product information and pass along product knowledge to employees.

Have the ability to organize and run staff meetings and training sessions

Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope; must be able to act decisively in implementing solutions

Provide sales guidance to customers; assist them in making the best choice

Uphold the stores clean, organized and welcoming appearance, merchandise product, work to maintain stock levels and highlight new products

Very strong verbal communication and listening skills; self motivated

Available to work early mornings, days, weekends, and Holidays to meet the needs of the store

Available to travel and work industry trade shows in the Pacific Northwest

Minimum Qualifications:

Four year degree; or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written; oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.

Mental Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, speak, write and understand English, and must regularly use customer service skills. The employee will frequently use interpersonal and teamwork skills.
