Production Manager

We are currently seeking to fill a full time Production Manager position, reporting to the COO. This position carries the responsibility to lead and direct production team members to produce quality products while delivering on-time performance in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Schedule and monitors the flow of materials and resources to meet customer delivery requirements.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
1. Four-year degree
2. Five years previous experience in an animal feed or food production/manufacturing environment
3. 2 years management experience
4. Experienced in managing production flow
5. Purchasing
6. Quality control Management
7. Safety Policies Management
8. Experience with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
9. IT proficiency (MS Office, database, ERP/MRP software)
10. Lean manufacturing experience
11. Experience with Organic certification, Non-GMO project, and sustainable practices.
12. Ability to operate a lift truck

3. Strong leadership and organizational skills

5. Ability to multi-task with a cool head in a fast-paced environment
6. Exemplary attendance history
7. Ability to solve practical problems and adjust to a variety of changing situations.
Physical Conditions/Requirements:
1. Daily requirements to sit, kneel, stand, and walk the facility.
2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
3. Exposure to production area elements such as dust, noise, and odors from production feed batching and grinding.
4. Warehouse temperature variations from approximately 50 degree in winter to 85 degrees in the summer season.
5. Forklift traffic throughout the facility.
