Industrial Automation Technician

ROLE: The Industrial Automation Technician will work in partnership with the Machining Maintenance team on preventative maintenance, projects, and troubleshooting to maintain machine up-time, increase capacity, and reduce manual efforts of floor employees. Machinery includes multi-axis industrial grade CNC routing and drilling, sanders, conveyor, feeder, and stacker systems, and robotics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining, repairing, installing and modifying industrial equipment to maximize up-time, quality and production.Â

Installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

Working with Production Management, Maintenance, and vendors in projects for bringing new machinery online or improving flow and features of existing machinery.

CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical aptitude and curiousity, with a desire to learn new machine types and processes.Â

Practical hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting skills in mechanical work.

Ability to perform light diagnostics with machine control equipmentÂ

Ability to read equipment schematics and work with custom fabricated components in an industrial setting.

Interest to work in a highly interactive team environment.

Strong safety background.

Basic computer knowledge and skills, including exposure to PLC and HMI.

Able to perform routine maintenance and repair associated with bearings, shafts, chains, conveyors, belts, sprockets, pumps, and related equipment, as needed.
