We have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant assists in the monthly processes related to Cash, Revenue and Payables, including month-end close, preparation of monthly account reconciliations, SALT, A/P, A/R, general treasury functions, audit support and journal entries.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly closing responsibilities
Prepare work papers including posting of journal entries
Support preparation of work papers for audit
Property tax reconciliation
Accounts Payable
Maintain company banking accounts
Financial Reporting
Lead other employees in the Accounting Department
Assist in preparing employee performance appraisals
Check and petty cash preparation
Regular foreign vendors correspondence
Prepare monthly foreign vendor payments, wire funds & reimbursements
Other duties as assigned within the Accounting Department
Job Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is required
Prior experience with enterprise resource planning systems (Great Plains preferred)
Strong Knowledge of MS Excel
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Highly Organized
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines
Team oriented
