The Davey Tree Expert Company, a national leader in tree care and landscape services throughout the US & Canada is seeking a versatile mechanic to join the team at our Fleet Services facility in Dulles, VA. This shop services various Davey operations in the Washington DC/Baltimore region. We are adding to the staff that has a combined 130+ years of service with Davey due to growth of the company. We have a clean modern well lighted facility with lifts and quality shop equipment.
Job Duties: Repair of all types of light and medium duty trucks and cars. Equipment consists of wood chippers, aerial lifts, trailers, compact equipment (skid steer/backhoe/loader), commercial mowers, & 2/4 stroke small equipment. Perform preventive maintenance services as needed. Road service duties as needed (duties shared with all shop personnel) with company supplied and tooled truck (no 5 gallon bucket needed). Virginia State Inspections and DOT inspections are performed at the shop.
Qualifications: All experience levels including trade school will be considered. We will train/show you how to repair some of the unique equipment the company owns. Fabrication skills and the ability to weld are a plus. Virginia State Inspection licenses another plus. Valid & CLEAN drivers license REQUIRED. CDL preferred, will train qualified candidates to obtain Class B CDL. Must have the ability to lift 50 plus pounds, climb on equipment, and be physically able to perform job duties as needed. Candidate must supply basic hand tools.

Compensation: 40 hours per week (year round position), overtime paid after 40, rate based on experience. Paid uniforms.
