National defense and homeland security clients depend on our rapid, cost-effective development of adaptable, interoperable, integrated solutions that provide high performance in quick-response scenarios.This positions requires an active DOD SECRET clearance (In JPAS)General Responsibilities:The project engineer serves as an expert and represents the Program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer. The work involves program technical development and/or oversight of Marine Corps (MC), Department of Navy (DON), and Department of Defense (DOD) programs. Although Project/Program Managers are responsible for the entire program, the project engineer is responsible for the project meeting technical requirements, which includes participating in technical reviews. This level represents work of increased scope and complexity that impacts the efforts of other projects. Project engineers conduct systems engineering with a direct role in test planning and test engineering; requirements analysis; requirements verification; functional analysis; functional verification; synthesis; design verification; systems analysis; and systems control and the development and delivery of associated systems engineering artifacts. The project engineer coordinates the efforts of technical area experts who are available to assist with the technical aspects of the project and help address technical issues. Technical issues that cannot be resolved at the project level should be elevated to the PMO lead engineer and/or Competency Lead Engineer.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Expert Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principlesAbility to work on a diverse team engaged in Defense Acquisition program management activities.Expert Knowledge of any of the following functional areas:

Communications, Intelligence, and Networking Systems

Ground transportation and Engineering systems (i.e., Expeditionary Power, Motor Transportation)

Information Systems and Infrastructure (i.e., Information Technology, Computing Platforms, Network Services)

Infantry Weapon Systems (i.e., Anti-Armor, Infantry, Marine Expeditionary Rifle Squad, Recon, Optics)

Combat Equipment and Support Systems (i.e., Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defense, Infantry Combat/Equipment, Test Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment)

Weapons/Sensors Development/Integration (i.e., MAGTF C2, Air Defense, Radar, Unmanned, Command/Control)

Armor and Fire Support Systems (i.e., Expeditionary Fire Support, Artillery Rocket Systems, Tank, Assault Amphibious)

Command and Control

Information Technology Systems

Counter Improvised Explosive Devices

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
