We currently have an opportunity for a Software Developer to join our Corporate IT Team in the Salem, VA office, located at 1051 Texas Street. This position will be assigned to one of our Agile Scrum teams in an environment that fosters interaction and collaboration with team members across the organization to create technical solutions to benefit our business partners.

Software Developer Job Responsibilities:
1. Build, maintain and support web-based Underwriting and Policy issuance applications
2. Collaborate effectively with other members of the agile Scrum team as well as and business users to exceed the expectations of internal customers and owners
3. Learn a myriad of systems and tools and participate in all phases of the full systems development life cycle
4. Use your creativity to offer new solutions and introduce new ideas
Working knowledge of one or more of the following required:
Java
C#
Large datasets/databases
Working knowledge of one or more of the following is beneficial:
VB.Net
ASP.Net
JQuery
AngularJS
Angular
Webservice development (SOAP/REST)
MS SQL Server
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Subversion, Git (Source Control)
Agile Software Development Methodology
Education and Experience:
Bachelors or Associate degree in Computer Science or other related field.
