Randstad in Partnership with the Ardagh Group is now recruiting for Packaging SpecialistsThe QUALIFIED candidate is is responsible for all aspects of the Packaging operation in order to insure product packaging specification is achieved efficiently and consistently. The Packaging Specialist is responsible to intervene and operate automated industrial equipment to include robotic systems in a safe and effective manner.Responsibilities:. Perform daily / department Safety checks to insure safe work habits exist and correct hazards. Adhere to quality standards, work instructions and procedures, supporting the positive release program and promoting quality within the packaging operation. Comply with safety policies and practices and participate in the plant Safety Program. Provide accurate reporting of safety, production, efficiency, and quality. Maintain continuous flow of materials for production equipment / process. Maintain quality of product being packaged as well as quality of packaging. Identify quality defects and react as necessary to insure containment and corrective actions are executed effectively. Maintain supply of cans through effective operation of palletizing, de-palletizing, material handling, stretch wrap, banding, labeling and other packaging equipment. Operate highly automated systems to include robotic packaging equipment. Safely unload / load trucks to ensure customer demands are met. Maintain a safe work environment for self and all team members and equipment through daily 5S, housekeeping activities, vehicle safety checks and report any and all unsafe acts or conditions. Work with team members to make recommendations for process improvements.Working hours: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PMSkills:Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forkliftAbility to safely and efficiently operate highly automated industrial equipment.Mechanical aptitude in order to fulfill Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities.Ability to read and interpret written documentationAbility to work with all levels of personnelDemonstrates attention to detailsProven problem-solving experienceExperience in / ability to complete Safety, Quality and Production documentationAbility to operate a computerEducation:High SchoolExperience:ExperiencedQualifications:Maintenance or technical certification preferredHigh School diploma or GEDMust be able to work all shifts including 12-hour rotating shifts, daylight and off-shifts as well as weekends, holidays and overtime.THIS POSITION IS A ROTATING SCHEDULE. THE SHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 5:45AM - 6:00PM FOR 3 WEEKS AND 5:45PM - 6:00AM FOR 3 WEEKS .
