Position Summary:
Mechanical Engineer is responsible to manage equipment and process projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of equipment and process innovations that will improve productivity and capabilities.
Champion trial runs on production lines to test and validate new equipment.
Design and develop new equipment;
Ensure equipment meets project scope,
Integrate equipment into production,
Train Maintenance on new equipment,
Ensure proper documentation is available for new equipment (Equipment Manual, Spare Parts List, Training Materials, Prints & Schematics)
Support the development of new products by providing Engineering support in a multi-disciplined environment.
Identify equipment improvement opportunities for existing equipment; Gather, interpret, and present data to drive improvement projects; determine root cause, develop solutions, validate and implement as required. Provide support to Production, Maintenance, and other teams as needed.

Education and Experience:
Mechanical Engineering degree required
Demonstrated Project Management Skills required
Plastics experience preferred
Machine Design experience preferred
Lean Manufacturing Principles preferred
4-years manufacturing engineering experience preferred
