Secure our Nation, Ignite your FutureAudio Visual (AV) Specialist for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity(MCIA), Quantico. Provides technical knowledge in supporting end user liveevents in command conference rooms, training rooms, multipurpose rooms, andremote locations utilizing equipment and applications such as Crestroncontrollers, digital displays, projectors and audio systems to communicatespecified intelligence information through audio visual means. Facilitatesthe scheduling, operation, and maintenance of the conference rooms equippedwith complete multi-media capabilities, and multiple video teleconference(VTC) systems, including room based and desktops. Coordinates AV support forlive presentations and special events in the Center. Facilitates and directscustomer presentations and/or programs in the Center that are typicallyunrehearsed live events by supplying music, sound, support visuals andvideo/film excerpts, and adjusting timing to meet program requirements ofthe presentations.Provides input for strategic technology recommendations and performs theinstallation of AV/VTC systems upgrades, and assists with performingCrestron remote systems engineering and programming. Maintains theefficiency of such AV/VTC systems with the ability to setup, diagnose andeffect on-site installation and repair of systems components as required.Provides technical knowledge for the MCIA Video Teleconference (VTC)programs. Schedules and connects applicable room-based and desktop VTCsystems such as Tandberg/CISCO, using the Tandberg Management System [TMS]scheduling/connectivity and DIA secure VTC scheduling/connectivity options.Coordinates reservations and scheduling of AV/VTC services with internal andexternal agencies and conduct end user training.Assists in the design and installation of all AV capabilities supportingMCIA. Maintains current knowledge of information applicable to conferenceroom design, electronic presentation and VTC methodologies. Maintainsknowledge and understanding of AV solutions incorporated with Cisco/TandbergVTC (codecs and MCUs) systems for videoconferencing/multi-point meetings inclassified environments and Crestron engineering and programming. MaintainsAV/VTC troubleshooting and resolution skills, conducts user levelmaintenance of AV/VTC systems as required.Maintains a working relationship with government and contractor personnel.Observes work in progress to ensure quality standards are met, providefeedback to the military/civilian leadership. Coordinates resources inresponse to changes in workload, considering availability of facilities,equipment and personnel. Conducts informal training to broaden employeesskills as needed.
