Job Title: Delivery Driver
Job Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface with our clientele, make deliveries of products to our customers in the Greater Hampton Roads area.
- Collecting payment for delivered product from customers and turning in paperwork and collections by end of workday to office.
- Picking and loading orders, stocking warehouse shelves, unloading product from delivery vehicle and delivering and stocking customers shelves with product.
- Assessing customers product needs based off past usage and making recommendations to customers
- Conducting a weekly inventory of product.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work On Time each day. Excessive tardiness and absences will not be tolerated.
- Able to work Monday thru Fridays with workday hours from 8:00 am to 5pm.
- Work hours and scheduling will vary depending on the route and delivery volume.
- Must be able to keep meticulous records for sales to customers.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Area knowledge of Hampton Roads a plus. Should be familiar with the cities of Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach.
- Previous delivery or route driving experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift packages up to and over 100lbs.
