A private family seeks a compassionate, experienced female caregiver for a man in his 90s, in good health but with some dementia. Because of the pandemic he is currently in the Bahamas and unable to travel home until it's safe to do so. If hired you would be asked to travel there soon and to stay there with him until return to NYC is safe. The family hopes that anyone hired would stay with them long-term. You'd be joining a team of caregivers, sharing in the duties of providing companionship, helping with bathing and dressing, cooking, light housekeeping, etc. The position requires fluent English, valid passport, and driver's license. Fluent French would be a big plus. All travel expenses, a private room in a beautiful home, and board will be provided. Salary DOE but will not be less than $25/hour plus overtime. All applicants will be asked to provide references, and a background check will be required.
