Seeking a Store Manager for Rethreads consignment shop. If you are the right person for our team, you will have a passion for resale and in-depth knowledge about the industry. You will have a commitment to provide a superior experience for our customers and consignors, with a focus on hospitality and fun. You will continuously strive to improve store operations, increase sales, and maintain strong relationships with customers, consignors, staff, and others in the resale industry in Charlottesville. You will have knowledge about the industry and an interest in continuing Rethreads' growth as one of the top consignment shops in the region.
This position is 30-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing employees: scheduling, holding regular staff meetings, hiring/training staff as needed
Ensuring efficient systems in place for consignment, sales, inventory management, etc.
Managing the stores wholesale inventory
Maintaining the stores social media accounts and working closely with the owner to evolve the stores marketing plan
Cleaning and maintaining store, ensuring task lists are completed by staff
Investigating and addressing customer, consignor, and staff problems
Ensuring the quality and correct pricing of consignment clothing & accessories, and merchandising the products at the store for the best displays
Tracking financial progress at the store on a daily basis, providing weekly and monthly reports to the owner.
Building relationships with customers and consignors, providing top quality customer service
Creating opportunities for collaboration with other secondhand shops, nonprofit consignors, and performing other outreach
Staying informed of current trends in the consignment & retail clothing industries
Being results and goal driven, while always remembering that people come first
Working closely with the owner and team on all of the above
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2-3 years Retail Management or a Supervisory position experience
Proven track record in retail management
Possess strong leadership, organizational and time management skills
Team player with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
