Champion Brewing Company is seeking a highly driven, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Canning Line Operator/Cellarman. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the beverage industry; operating fillers, labelers, date coders, forklifts and pallet jacks, and managing finished goods inventories.
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
Start up, sanitation, operation and cleaning of Wild Goose 250 canning line per Champion Brewing Companys standard operating procedures.
Cleaning and filling kegs.
Assist in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Wild Goose 250 canning line, In-Line Labeler, automated Pak-Tech applicator and Wild Goose automated depalletizer.
Performs all necessary paperwork regarding packaging totals during shift.
Assists in finished goods inventory management/tracking.
Works with Production Manager to minimize packaging loss and dissolved oxygen levels in canned beer.
Operates forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
Assists in inter-company beer deliveries to Champions multiple Charlottesville locations and out of town taprooms.
Required Abilities, Skills, etc:
Must be able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and maneuver 175 lb kegs.
Must be able to work entire shift in a non climate controlled environment.
Ability to successfully work independently with little supervision and successfully work under close supervision of Production Manager.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Must be self motivated and possess good time management skills.
Must be able to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced, loud production environment.
Must possess strong attention to detail.
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must possess a current drivers license and have a clean driving record.
