Vermont's largest container shrub grower is looking for additional help with crop production during the busy spring potting season. This job could turn into permanent employment for the right employee. Job duties would include potting bare root, plugs, and small container plants. Additionally, employees will water nursery stock, prune or trim, move and space plants, loading trucks, and other miscellaneous tasks related to expanding or maintaining the nursery. Those with experience operating small equipment such as tractors, excavator, towing trailers, driving a delivery truck, lawn mowers, etc will have more options for longer employment. Additionally, our sister business which provides landscape services periodically could provide longer term employment for the right employee.
Experience is not required, however it is ideal and compensation will reflect this. We offer a minimum starting wage of $15.00 per hour. Benefits of this job include working outdoors, working with a respectful crew, working at the same location each day, and getting to watch the plants you create grow and thrive. This is an outdoor job on a farm, and as such applicants should only consider applying if all of the pros and cons of this type of work environment are agreeable (i.e. rain, warm, cold, etc). Employees will be required to lift items up to 50lbs (although not often) and must practice safe and proper techniques at all times. The farm is a 100% Smoke Free facility.

This IS NOT an under the table job, and employees will receive a bi-weekly payroll check.
