We have four different (indoor/heated) duck care positions available on our 1300-acre no-kill permaculture farm and wildlife preserve. Most immediately: 3-4 days part time with an hourly wage. We also have a position that offers a private house including heat, wifi, electrical, in exchange for 27 hour per week of work in the duck sanctuary and a $100/month stipend, requiring ideally a 4-month committment. We offer internships for credit. We are also hiring 1 or 2 days per week for part-time duck caretaking. Most of the work (over the winter months) will occur inside our large, insulated, heated barn, with some outdoor work when ducks go outside.
Qualifications include compassion for animals and great attention to detail. The job is physical, and applicants must be able to lift 50#s.
