Job Description
The Mountain Top Inn and Resort is currently a Line cook. We host over 100 weddings a year, mainly May thru October. Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. We are looking to hire one line cook to complete our team. We are located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, with private access to the Chittenden Reservoir. We offer horse back riding, disk golf, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and much more. We are a 32 room bed and breakfast with 20 plus vacation rentals. We are very competitive with our pay rates for Line Cooks, paying top hourly rates for Line Cooks for this area.
Line Cook Responsibilities
Prepare food for the line
Highly Organized
Outstanding Time management
Cook items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Has a creative eye for food presentation
Answer, report and follow Food and Beverage Manager
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately for daily service
Work with the other chefs to order produce
Ensure that food is consistent in quality
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Line Cook Requirements
Proven cooking experience, including experience prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Daily reliability that co-workers can depend on.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industrys best practices
Reliable Transportation
Weekend Availability is Mandatory
