Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITY, TASKS AND DUTIES- Provide assistance and feedback to Supply Chain Planner to help set production priorities
- Release/Reschedule/Cancel manufacturing jobs in accordance with production requirements, as determined using MRP computer generated reports
- Coordinate materials transactions and job review/closure as required
- Review completed jobs for correct and complete issuance of materials, entering any needed transactions and closing the jobs
- Review Shortage and Expedite reports for Production Jobs
- Maintenance of Finish Good inventory levels required to meet customer needs, while avoiding excess carrying costs.
- Coordinate Reworks
- Discuss daily production schedule
- Maintenance of MRP computer system
- Authority to perform transactions required to maintain correct inventory records, e.g., scrap, inventory adjustment, warranty, etc.
- Place non-compliant products and processes on hold
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- Two years of manufacturing planning experience in a production environment
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with current hazardous materials warnings, signs and symbols and any other related safety precautions
- Hazard training for all equipment and processes to be performed in supervisory area
- Understanding of material safety data sheets for materials handled in supervisory area
