Need enthusiastic person to join my daughter's support team. Employee will come to my East Millcreek home and care for my 19 year old teenager with developmental delays. She has autism and is still in diapers. Requires high level of careful attention to meet her needs. Training may start right away if schedules allow.
Schedule will be the same each week. With extra day shifts possible on "non-school" days (7:00 am -2:45 pm) please see granite school district calendar for exact dates.
Job requirements:
Maintain a clean and safe environment here in home
Daily laundry duties
Drive client to community activities in your own vehicle
Grocery shopping
Meal preparation and planning
Daily swimming with my daughter
Walks, outdoor activities and amusement parks
Attend to behavior issues and document data
Change diapers
Devote complete and undivided attention to my sweet teenager with autism.
Direct and engage her in productive activities
Assist her in transitioning smoothly from one activity to another (emotional support)
Pass criminal background check.
Be able to read and write in English proficiently
Reliable transportation and safe drivering record

Education:
Education or interest in special ed, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or behavioral studies may be helpful though not required. Client specific on the job training provided. You may be taught a little bit about many different modalities required to perform job duties in excellence.
Transportation details:
Clean driving record, current registration and proof of insurance required. Employee must use their own vehicle to transport individual to activities and errands each day. Transportation will not be reimbursed separately. The transportation service reimbursement is included in the hourly wage.

Swimming and alternative outdoor physical activities Every shift as part of her healthy active routine.
Criminal Background Check details:
All employees must provide 2 fingerprint cards at time of hiring. In order to submit and pass criminal background check within 30 days of start date. This is required in order to comply with state mandates for working with vulnerable populations.
Need to have clean record without "patterns of criminal activity" or domestic violence history or other abuse issues tagged by human services reports.
