Toscano Italian Bistro is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager. Toscano features a full bar, wine list and Italian classic dishes in an upscale setting.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for keeping our restaurant exceptionally clean and well-run. He or she will assist the General Manager in the day-to-day fine dining restaurant operations and in managing the staff of Toscano. These duties will include executing company policies, procedures, and programs. The Assistant Manager must have experience in business management and people motivation and must be an excellent communicator.

As the Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the Toscano General Manager. Some of your responsibilities may include but not limited to:

-Understand our menu and become familiar with all items and preparation, including the ingredients, sauces, and garnishing.

-Takes guests' cocktail and food orders, answering all menu questions, making helpful suggestions.

-Anticipates guests' needs.

-Performs any necessary side work.

-Understand proper wine service

-Be able to multitask and handle various tasks at once

-Opening and Closing procedures

-Provide proper training for employees

-Run Daily Reports

-Settling Credit Cards

-Prioritizing

-Professional Attitude

-Comply with food safety procedures Work with management team to meet sales goals

-Manage food and labor costs

-Execute company policies and procedures

-Monitor food/alcohol inventory levels

-Manage and maintain safe working conditions

-Manage employees

-Maintain fast, accurate service and provide top-notch customer service to every guest that comes into our restaurant.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:

This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and a minimum of two years job-related experience.

-Tips/SIP Certification (UTAH)

-Food Handlers Certification (UTAH)

-Wine knowledge

-Valid Drivers License

-POS skills preferably Aloha
