In this role, you will be a vital piece of the Micro Focus Security Team, providing around-the-clock protection of Micro Focus's mission critical communications system. In this role, you will provide high level email security in dealing with improper use of our email systems. You will manage systems and address difficult problems in conjunction with other members of our globally deployed Security Team.
You will work from our Provo, Utah, offices and work a standard workday schedule.
Required Skills / Experience:
2+ years experience in the following areas:
Proven track record using and implementing email protocols, including email encryption.
Experience with Office365 administration.
Experience and excellent understanding of email header analysis.
Knowledge and understanding of email security solutions:
Content filters
Spam filters
DLP
Malware scanners
Knowledge of common phishing and spear phishing tactics and techniques.
A core understanding of security frameworks and compliance, such as ISO27k, NIST, SOX, GDPR, etc.
Job Description:
Design and develop email security policy and processes with special consideration to data privacy and data loss prevention. Assess and report on the business email posture, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or run transformation programs to improve overall posture.
Work with security awareness analysts to ensure the successful delivery of email phishing campaigns and deliver accurate metrics on end-user responses.
Design and maintain requirements for content and spam filtering, then ensure the timely upkeep of email blacklists and known malicious email sources.
Work with security architects and cloud security analysts to design and deliver new email capabilities in the cloud and Office365.
Perform the timely analysis of reported spam and legitimate email phishing attacks, identify the scale of the attack, and ensure measures to mitigate or limit the attack.
