Environmental Technician

Summary:Construction inspection, travel and possible out-of-town work. Attends meeting with client and contractor. E&I: Gathers, and with increasing experience, interprets a wide variety of data. Has experience and knowledge in a variety of applicable data collection and evaluation techniques. Develops and maintains records, either manually or by computer methods. Work often involves complex analyzers, instrumentation or equipment for gathering data and for optimizing system performance.Responsibilities:Gathers a wide variety of data and collects samples of a variety of media. May, with experience, interpret and evaluate data. Has experience and knowledge in a variety of applicable sampling and data collection and evaluation techniques. Develops and maintains records, including databases, either manually or by computer methods. Work often involves use of complex analyzers, instrumentation or equipment including installation, calibration and/or maintenance of equipment or analyzers and instrumentation.Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:In addition to levels 1 and 2 competencies, has developed specialized knowledge/skills in own areaCompletes work assignments independently or with minimal supervision/guidanceActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceMay coordinate activities of others.
