JOB PURPOSE: Supports all areas of the Radiology Department by providing assistance to Radiologic Technologists in all Modalities with entry of patient orders into the MEDITECH/CPCS System, image duplication through the Picture Archieving and Communication (PACS) System, transporting patients, patient preparation, assisting in moving patients (lifting), and assistance with entry of patient information into the AGFA Computed Radiology (CR) System. All duties are performed within the guidelines of the department’s policy and procedure manual and under the direction of Registered Radiologic Technologists. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Satisfactory performance in this position requires attainment of a high school diploma or equivalency (GED).
Ability to type 30 words per minute.
Ability to operate computer and printer, fax machines, copy machines telephone and other required equipment.
Ability to drive and valid West Virginia Driver’s License
Ability to communicate effectively with Physicians, Nursing Staff and other ancillary services.
Must possess CPR Certification.
Basic knowledge of patient care.
