HVAC Counter/Inside Sales Waco

The inside sales representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.
Job Expectations
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales
Sells based on company value proposition by identifying key growth opportunities product and services offerings.
Partner with Outside Sales to drive revenue including quotations, placing orders, checking stock, checking prices and assisting in problem resolution
Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
Accurately process customer transactions such as providing pricing or quotes, taking orders or managing returns
Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
Work with walk-in customers regarding questions on orders, quotes and/or job specifications
Maintain active and proactive customer relationship to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
Successfully complete all assigned training within given timeframe
Customer Focus
Work closely with vendors to make sure product shipment /delivery dates are adhered to and communicate changes appropriately to the customer
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
Assist with Counter Sales when necessary
Administrative
Timely and accurate data entry of sales orders and/or purchase orders into the ERP system
Order inventory when needed or when assigned
Assist with inventory control and physical inventory counts
Assist in the warehouse when needed pulling customer orders and/or unloading or loading of trucks
Assist with take offs, enter bids and process submittals as needed (Waterworks only)
Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
High School education or equivalent
Minimum 1 - 3 – years’ experience in a related wholesale distribution business
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
Must be self-motivated, including high attention to detail with ability to focus and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel and Word; previous experience with an ERP system (i.e. Eclipse, Mincron) is an asset
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell product to a wide range of customers both in-person and by phone
Must be able to work positively within a team environment
Must be able to learn quickly and have a desire to succeed
Must have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions with minimal assistance
Must present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
Regular, timely attendance is required to meet customer needs in an efficient and effective manner
