Allen Tharp LLC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our organization in the Human Resources Department. This person will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Project Manager on all personnel matters. This position includes but not limited to: high volume inbound calls, customer service, filing, recruitment, and hiring. Human Resources plays a large role in the hiring of new staff including posting advertisements for open positions, screening resumes and applications, creating and updating job descriptions, setting up interview appointments, and conducting new employee orientation. Should have experience in payroll procedures, benefits enrollment, and special projects. Must be capable of processing payroll and be familiar with time & attendance. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely, accurately, and compliantly, working knowledge of payroll best practices. Must have knowledge in handling; unemployment claims, workers compensation claims, Family Medical Leave, EEOC, OSHA reports and ACA.
Must have 1 year experience in Human Resources
Must have 2-years’ experience in processing payroll
Able to type 45 words per minute
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Multi-tasking ability with particular attention to detail and accuracy
Professional demeanor and positive attitude especially under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills, including a respect for confidentiality
Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook
General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull
Adheres to company Standards of Business Conduct.
