OverviewUnder the guidance of a licensed engineer (P.E.) and as a member of a project team, this position will design infrastructure for water/wastewater projects.ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Managers and Senior Engineers in the planning and design of water distribution and wastewater collection systemsCreate and run electronic hydraulic models for water and sewer systems, including static and extended period simulations as neededMaintain a database of utility service agreements, including statusPrepare governmental permitting packages and follow-up to Requests-for-Additional information for sameMaintain permitting logs for large-scale projectsProvide design services for small wastewater treatment facilitiesAssist in coordinating multiple sub-consultantsito ensure timely delivery of final design productsProvide initial review of contractorisubmittal against contract specificationsMaintain contractor submittal logs for on-going construction projectsAssist in providing technical documents for obtaining rights-of-entry as well as maintaining easement acquisition logsQualificationsBachelor of Science degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited college or universityFamiliar with engineering principles, techniques, and proceduresPrevious experience in water and wastewater planning,design and/or construction through internship experience is preferred; not requiredEngineering coursework focused on water/wastewater/environmental engineeringBasic knowledge of AutoCADPrevious experience with databases and ArcGIS is preferred but not requiredPrevious experienceiwith right-of-entry and utility relocations isipreferred but not requiredPrevious experience in InfoWorksi, InfoWateri,iWaterCADi or SewerCADi a plusAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, clients, and public agenciesFlexibility in managing job tasks as deadlines and priorities changeWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Word and MS ExcelEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenMust be able to work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtimeMust be reliable and dependablePreferred QualificationsExperience with databases and ArcGIS is preferred but not requiredExperience with right-of-entry and utility relocations is preferred but not requiredExperience in InfoWorksi, InfoWateri, WaterCADi or SewerCADi a plusPape-Dawson Engineers is an AA/EEO employer.
