DescriptionAre you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Accountemps may be for you. As the Accounting Clerk, your efforts will become an important part to the success of International Construction Company. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Pasadena, Texas area and will be a long-term temporary position. In this dynamic department, there is an opportunity for career growth and quick advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.What you get to do every day
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Perform special projects as assigned
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Requirements
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Command of Invoice Discrepancies
Enter Vendor Invoices experience
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Research Discrepancies experience
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
