This person will have responsibility for spending time in the country calling on Dairy and Beef Producers in cooperation with our Sales Staff and working with key dairy and beef influencers, nutritionists and consultants. This person will assist with the dairy market strategy development with the QLF Dairy Team, Beef Team and Management. This person will have a major part in the communication between our Sales Staff, Dairy Technical Team, Beef Technical Team and Marketing to ensure we are providing the product information needed in the Region for market development and growth. Additionally, this person will interact with other professionals in the industry, academia and government. This position is a field-based technical services position within the US dairy and beef cattle business unit and is to be located in the Texas Panhandle. This individual must have a desire for high personal achievement and a passionate drive to be successful. Additionally this individual must have the willingness to learn and do all aspects of the business from the ground up for individual success and the success of the team.

Required: Master’s degree in Animal Science or related field; Dairy and Beef on farm experience in the Texas Panhandle; strong understanding of applied dairy and beef nutrition; familiarity with the dairy and beef industry; working knowledge of proper management and feeding practices; ability to relate to clients and teammates, as well as understand their position; ability to/prior experience running diets on Dalex and NDS; proficient at basic computer skills: email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; superior communication skills, must be comfortable with speaking and presenting to small groups; presentation and organizational skills; must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, prioritize, work under deadlines, efficient time management and function well as part of a team. Travel will be required. Individual must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to withstand automobile confinement to serve the geographic area. This individual must reside in the territory area of the Texas Panhandle

Preferred: Familiarity with formulation software and/or ration balancing software; understanding of nutrient analytical testing and interpretation of results.
