We are looking for a skilled, observant Tree Specialist who is passionate about expanding our current understanding of tree life and how it relates to its surroundings. The Tree Specialist will assist with research efforts by conducting fieldwork, research, and tests to learn more about how to heal dying and infected trees in order to expand Tree Doctor 911s capabilities. You will study the differences between different tree strains and help identify or breed for desirable traits, such as nutritional content or disease resistance. You should be analytical and collaborative and possess excellent communication skills for reporting findings to management. The Tree Specialist will also report findings in video and written article formats.

To succeed as a Tree Specialist, you should be knowledgeable and thorough with excellent research, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should also have a strong understanding of tree biology, scientific principles, and research methods.

Tree Specialist Responsibilities:

Studying trees, their environments, relationships, traits, and processes.

Conducting fieldwork, collecting and testing tree samples, and recording observations.

Testing the effects of weather, pollutants, pests, and other problems on different tree species.

Analyzing tree responses and reporting possible trends, benefits, or concerns.

Raising awareness about environmental concerns and conservation efforts and assisting with disaster relief after floods, droughts, etc.

Working with others to achieve project objectives.

Managing research group members and resources.

Conduct webinars and seminars on findings, as well as general information regarding Tree Doctor 911 practices and case studies.

Tree Specialist Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Botany, Biology, or related field.

More employment and advancement opportunities with a Masters or Doctorate.

Field experience may be required.

Understanding of tree life, processes, and traits, scientific principles, and environmental concerns.

Excellent interpersonal, research, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to travel and work with others.

Strong public speaking and negotiation skills may be beneficial.
