Onin Staffing is hiring for a OTR Driver Recruiter located in Laredo, TX.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit, screen, interview, assess and place Class A OTR Company drivers throughout all company locations/terminals
- Perform reference-checking procedures on all candidates to confirm past performance, recruit new candidates and prospect for new job orders/requisitions.
- Attain weekly candidate development activity metrics as defined by manager.
- Establish recruiting plans which include job boards, social networking, and referral sources.
- Maintain and document driver communication.
- Proactively seek new avenues to penetrate and attract new drivers
- Actively participate in professional and civic organizations designed to build networking database.
- Determine if the driver would meet all qualifications and schedule driver for interview with hiring manager(s)
- Conduct Background Checks and Employment verifications for new drivers
- Handle on-boarding of driver
- Responsible for Recruiting Page of Company Website Development and Management
- Familiarity with various Driver Management systems similar to TenStreet, Pedigree, Supervision and VLMS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Two (2) years of related work experience in a transportation recruiter environment
- Experience in using Social Media to Recruit
- Ability to Travel Occasionally to interview, participate in job fairs, etc.
- Experience using Recruiting Software
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Ability to easily adapt to change
- High energy and motivation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with customer service orientation
- Desire to work in fast-paced environment
- Detail orientated with ability to follow-through
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently and effectively
