It all begins with you.The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.Reporting to the Head of Credit Cards, Retail Services and Rewards Marketing, this leader will play a central role in running credit card acquisition, through ownership of direct mail credit card acquisition strategies that deepen our relationships with existing Wells Fargo customers as well as bring new customers to the franchise.This leader will oversee the acquisition strategy and execution for direct mail and is accountable for ensuring effective and efficient creative, product, offer, and targeting strategies for the channel to maximize total NPV. This leader will manage a team of approximately seven marketing professionals whose skills span strategy, creative development, and execution. The leader is expected to work in a highly matrixed organization and have the ability to influence at various levels of the organization. Maintaining the highest levels of operational control is critical.The leader in this role will have an exciting opportunity to lead within an area of growth at Wells Fargo. He/she will influence the go forward marketing strategy for consumer credit card acquisition, through ownership of direct mail, with an objective of efficiently acquiring new accounts through prospecting and cross-sell. This leader will have the opportunity to gain significant leadership experiences and senior leadership exposure.Leadership responsibilities are as follows:

Channel strategy: manage direct mail acquisition strategy including targeting, creative approach, product and offer strategy, campaign timing, and cost efficiency

Test and learn: maintain a robust testing pipeline to ensure continual advancement

Marketing budget: manage direct mail acquisition marketing budget

Forecasting and planning: for direct mail, contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting routines, including reconciliation against forecasts vs actuals; maintain a roster of incremental opportunities

Creative development: work with internal and external agency partners to develop effective direct mail packages

Campaign execution: execute against direct mail acquisition strategy, with a close eye to process accuracy and efficiency

Team leadership: lead a team of approximately seven team members

Market research: leverage competitive insights to ensure direct mail channel effectiveness

Collaborate and work closely with peers across credit card acquisition who manage other channels, product strategies, and the overall acquisition approach; partner with Marketing Centers of Excellence, Insights and Analytics, Finance, Risk, and Product Management partners

Manage operational risk: ensure direct mail processes and controls are robust and effective; identify opportunities to improve quality, output and efficiency for direct mail acquisition

7+ years of marketing experience

4+ years of management experience

5+ years of financial services experience

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
