This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the facility and grounds. This position must ensure the facility meets all life safety and regulatory requirements. Manage and complete service requests in a timely manner.APPLY HEREESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures facility meets all life safety requirements
Provides effective and timely building and fire life safety training for all employees
Carries-out preventative maintenance program
Refurbishes living units for the next occupants (paint, repair holes in walls, etc.)
Assists with setup and cleanup for special events
Maintains all mechanical equipment per preventative maintenance program
Coordinates property suppliers and vendors.
Verifies the effective and timely training on health and safety activities.
Performs resident appliance/electrical inspections
Performs move-in, move-out inspections
Performs property inspections on monthly basis
Takes weekly water meter readings
Responds to after-hours emergency calls from facility
Serves as a member of the facility emergency team
Serves as a member of the Safety Inspection TeamSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises the Building Engineer Assistant and Housekeepers
Select, Train, Evaluate and Counsel full and part time staff as assigned.REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in commercial setting
Ability to read building blueprints
Proficient reading, comprehension, writing and mathematical ability
Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24 hour operation including weekends to support maintenance needs
Must successfully complete:
TB skin test or chest x-ray
FBI background check-prior misdemeanor or felony charges will prevent employment
Health Screening for this position
Basic First Aid trainingPREFERENCES
More than 3 years maintenance experience
Experience with MS Office
