OverviewThe Major Account Executive, K-12 serves as a trusted advisor and partner within the Education K-12 marketplace. The MAE will establish, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers at all levels to drive business and exceed established growth goals. The MAE will achieve consistent, predictable quarterly revenue results and be the single point of contact/relationship manager for the assigned territory. The MAE will be responsible for developing a pipeline and meeting the assigned quota for closed business within K-12 Education entities. The MAE will manage the “political process” in the assigned K-12 territory to successfully navigate the purchasing and contract process. The MAE will work with Sharp product specialists to market and install the full range of Sharp lines of business.Responsibilities
Provide overall client development leadership and political strategy for Sharp activities in the K-12 Education sector
Must have knowledge of business processes unique to the K-12 market; to include Student Registration, Student Cumulative Folder, Personalized Learning, Learning Management requirements, and other key business processes
Use K-12 experience and account knowledge to assess unique client industry, business and IT environment needs to match Sharp offerings
Work with Sharp specialists to qualify opportunities and establish effective solutions and devise winning strategies
Organizes and implements post-sale delivery and installation of Sharp solutions at customer locations. Acts as primary point of contact for all sales administration
Compile accurate pipeline and forecasting for all lines of business
Interacts with local and national resources for contract and pricing support
Responsible for community involvement and ensure that Sharp is viewed as a good corporate partner to the State of Arizona education community
Develops and maintains executive level relationships
Partner with delivery to support QBR process to continuously leverage new service offers, retain client accounts and grow profitable revenue
Qualifications
Must have a high level understanding of educational marketplace and business requirements to affect new and existing business activities in the state education community
3-5 years of successful sales experience in K-12 education marketplace
Experience selling into the C-suite and selling complex solutions and services
Broad knowledge of the industry’s policies, programs and services
BS/BA in Business administration or related field experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A valid driver’s license
