Description

This position will help create visual art by telling the stories of students, staff, faculty, and alumni in order to promote the seminary’s mission. Additional jobs include: recording live events, editing, overseeing Online Education classes and other projects as necessary. Still photography skills are also expected.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have experience with Non-Linear Editors (Adobe Premiere, Avid, Final Cut Pro), demonstrable knowledge for operating a still and video camera (Canon), must work well in a collaborative team environment, but be independent and self-motivated. Must also understand how to use light, sound, video, stills, graphics and color to tell a story. Must be a problem solver and able to troubleshoot equipment, cameras, and recording gear. It is desired that the candidate have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, After Effects, SpeedGrade), have a degree in Radio/TV/Film, Media Arts, or other related field, have knowledge in encoding, transcoding, data rates, and compression formats, have strong organizational skills, a good sense of humor, and be self-motivated. It is also desired that the candidate have experience using Canon DSLR’s, and processing digital RAW images in Lightroom/Photoshop, and have experience with lighting, interviewing, and writing scripts.

Duties

  • Setup and operate recording equipment including cameras, video mixers, microphones, video decks, and recorders
  • Assist in the process of recording, editing, and publishing multiple projects
  • Archive recorded media
  • May be responsible for some evenings/weekends and/or travel
