POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
Summary/Objective
Promote data hygiene, system maintenance, timely response, and issue resolution for our Texas team members. This role will communicate daily with HR in Florida and will work to create continuity in the Human Resources department across campuses.
Essential Functions
Recruitment/New Hire Process
Participating in recruitment efforts for the Texas campus by posting job ads, contacting and tracking applicants
Onboarding for the Texas campus, including orientation and training
Creating badges for new team members
Payroll and Administration
Managing team member punches and PTO requests
Answering payroll questions for Texas team members
Facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors
Records Maintenance
Maintaining Seasonal HR files and databases, including electronic and paper file management
Updating and maintaining employment status in Paylocity
Maintaining Texas team member records related to grievances, disciplinary actions, and worker’s compensation claims
Performing payroll-related reconciliations
Completing termination paperwork and conducting seasonal exit interviews for the Texas campus
Assisting HR Manager with benefit enrollment
Day to Day Activities
Managing and processing of wage verifications, unemployment claims, and garnishments for Texas team members
Facilitating and follow-up of worker’s compensation claims for the Texas campus
Managing team member web time and missed punches
Answering Team Member questions relating to the company manual, PTO, and payroll policies
Provide pay stubs and complete government assistance forms for team members
Process incoming mail
Maintaining Seasonal HR files by updating and entering team member data
Setting appointments and arranging meetings
Maintaining Call-In Line and communicating to Department Leads attendance information
Co-leading safety team meetings with the designated representative from the HR team in Florida
Managing companywide birthday and work anniversary announcements
Planning employee engagement events for the Texas campus
Providing other assistance to the HR Manager in Florida as needed
Other
Must be able to work up to 60 hours per week in the months of November, December, and January. Flex down in slower months to an average of 32-40 hours.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Bilingual in English/Spanish required
Associate degree preferred
Must have 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resources Department or office/administrative setting
Experience in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint required
Paylocity Payroll systems experience preferred
Individual must be able to demonstrate a number of competencies that are essential to the position, which include:
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner while also identifying those issues that should be escalated to HR in Florida

Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze hiring and retention information
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently
Must be organized, accurate and thorough
Must be receptive to feedback and coaching, can teach and be taught
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
Must be able to show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours a day
