A quality assurance engineer creates tests to find any problems with software before the product is launched.They identify and analyze any bugs found during testing and document them. They also must to pay very close attention to detail and coach their team on managing testing tools, reporting results, and motivating process improvement. A normal work day for a quality assurance engineer includes developing new tests to run, running the tests, and documenting the results; if any defects are noted the quality assurance engineers will need to collaborate with the software developers to find a fix and patch the program. Once the defect has been patched, they will need to run the test again to make sure there are no new bugs and to make sure the defect found has been corrected. The person in this role will also design automated tests to validate the functionality of web and micro services applications. Their job is to create the initial test designs, write the scripts, install the automation testing protocols, and report the results.Basic Qualifications for Consideration:5+ years’ experience testing Java applications3+ years creating and running automated test cases using Selenium or a similar product2+ years’ experience working on an agile teamAbility to demonstrate strong leadership to include taking ownership for initiatives, working effectively in a team environment, and working on an independent basisExcellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skillsStrong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams in an agile environment.Ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects at the same time in a dynamic environment.Strong professional verbal and written interpersonal skillsPreferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or meaningful work experienceExperience in Pivotal platform (PCF and PAS), Redis, RabbitMQ and MongoDB is preferredWorking experience on GIT/Bitbucket, SVN, Webpack, Maven, and Jenkins is preferredExperience with OWASP and testing the security of applications is a plusKnowledge of various data integration solutions and design patterns in a multi-user, multi-platform, multi-tier environment is a plusExperience migrating legacy applications to the cloud is a plus
