AIRCO Mechanical is looking for a HR/Payroll Specialist. This person will need strong knowledge and experience with construction payroll. Must have experience processing certified payroll reports and understand how to calculate base rate plus fringes per the prevailing wage determination (such as Davis Bacon). Will handle the onboarding of new hires, new hire orientation, handle benefits enrollment, reconcile insurance invoices with employee deductions, Everify, Tx Newhire reporting, etc.
Normal hours for this position would be Monday thru Friday, 8-5, but must be willing/able to work OT if needed.
Experience Needed:
Know how to process certified payrolls on paper and online using Emars and LCPTracker
Understand how to calculate prevailing wage fringes (company fringes vs cash in lieu)
Experience with construction payroll/prevailing wage determinations
Good with math
Some HR experience would be helpful (onboarding, understand benefits), but not required
Computer knowledge - good with excel
Requirements:
High School Graduate; some college preferred
Must be able to pass drug test and criminal background check
Good attendance is a must to meet our deadlines.
Our payroll is processed in-house weekly using Sage software. It is entered in the field using Iphones/Ipads in Insperity system (Sage Time and Attendance) and then imported into our Sage system where it is audited for errors.
