POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Analyst is responsible for providing managerial/supervisory support within the store inventory. This includes the Warehouse, Garden Shop and the Main Store (everything in Epicor). The Inventory Analyst is responsible to Keep EPICOR counts accurate, ensure all Negative on hands are addressed, Out of Stocks are scanned and addressed, The Mango report is worked monthly and Claims are handled appropriately. He / She will also assist in ensuring warehouse inventory is current with the out of stocks at the store. He/she ensures that all company programs and policies are executed in a way that maximizes the stores profitability, through superior customer service, asset management and productivity. He/she should have a strong sense of urgency and drive for results.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: This position reports directly to the Inventory Manager.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Manage store inventory counts to ensure accuracy.

2. Keep Negative on hands to a minimum.

3. Out of Stocks are to be scanned daily and the root causes to be addressed as to why they are out of stock.

4. Mango report to be worked monthly to keep an acceptable productivity level.

5. Own the Claims process and ensure all available credits are earned.

6. Ensure the Cycle Count process is followed and executed daily as per the Cycle Count calendar.

7. Ensure any items maintained in the Warehouse are fully stocked within the stores.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & KEY COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge of store inventories and counts. Maintain a high level of knowledge of Home Center operations and store products.

Effective oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, store management & distribution software.

Technical knowledge of hardware products and operation of Cash Register.

In-depth knowledge of inventory management; computerized inventory & tracking systems.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Ability to meet set deadlines under pressure

Strong leadership, coaching and development skills.

Problem-Solving skills “ ability to use a systematic and effective approach in analyzing information in order to come up with good business solutions to problems.

Ability to adapt and be flexible “ ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities or procedures or to re-schedule activities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree or higher in Retail Management, Business Administration or related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 3 years in a retail or inventory related position in the Retail industry.

2 years Inventory experience preferred.

At least 2 years experience at a home improvement or hardware retailer.

At least 2 years experience analyzing inventory and/or reports.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise, and to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, lifting/handling material or equipment and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
