Calling All Service Industry Folks (usvi)

Territorios, U.S. virgin islands 00000 U.S. virgin islands USA

Vacancy caducado!

Are you currently working, currently laid off, or a veteran of the restaurant/bar industry? I bet you’ve got a whole lot of crazy stories to tell! And guess what? We’d love to hear them and share them on our new podcast called, “So This One Time, I Had A Customer Who” It’s a podcast dedicated to the ridiculously good and the ridiculously bad true customer stories as told from bar/restaurant folks - like you! So if you think you have a solid story to share, check out the directions below and send a demo our way! Bonus: there’s an award for ‘best of the month’ and ‘best of the year’ stories!

>> WHO <<

You! And all the other wildly entertaining and animated chefs, bartenders, servers, hostesses, owners, and anyone who’s ever ‘held it down’ in the service industry.

>> WHAT <<

Sharing stories of the really bad and/or really great customer interactions you've had on the job that could be aired on the podcast.

>> WHEN <<

Now! We need your stories asap and are planning on launching the podcast in summer of 2020.

>> HOW <<

Follow directions below to submit a demo of your story for consideration.

>> WHERE <<

Selected stories will be aired on a weekly podcast which will be posted on our website, on social media accounts, and on podcast posting platforms.

>> WHY <<

Why you ask!? Let us count the ways…

1- because it’s super fun to tell your story to the masses

2- for bragging rights that you’ve been on a podcast

3- to feel the sense of camaraderie you get from being part of a new online community with other badass industry folks like you while we’re all self Q-tining

4- for a chance to win an award for the ‘best of the month’ and ‘best of the year’ stories

5- to potentially go down in online history as having the greatest customer story ever told

DIRECTIONS FOR SUBMISSION

The podcast will feature selected stories that are 1 to 5 minutes long, recorded by you, using your cell phone or recording device, and emailed to us. First there is a ‘pitch’ process, where you’ll send us a quick synopsis of the story for consideration. Then if your pitch is selected, you’ll be contacted with instructions on how to record and send us the full story (1-5 mins long) with all its long-winded and glorious details. If the full story is selected, we will contact you with a congratulatory notice, and your story will be published on the podcast! We will let you know in advance of the date your podcast will be aired so you can tell all your friends to tune in!

STEP ONE - The Pitch

Send us a quick 30-45 second recording of the synopsis of the story you want to tell. Note any recordings longer than 45 seconds will NOT be accepted during the pitch phase - so be sure to be brief!

Follow the link below for a on how to submit a story from your phone

www.sothisonetimestories.com/how-to-submit-a-story-1

To start your recording, give your first and last name, city and state .

Then YOU MUST START YOUR STORY WITH THESE 9 WORDS: “So this one time, I had a customer who…”

Before you start, get in the mood! Grab a drink (or 2) or your favorite mood-enhancing vice, find a quiet room for recording (bathrooms and closets work best), remember to speak clearly, slowly, and give us as much detail of your story in the 30-45 seconds as possible.

Be decent! While we have no issues with some good old fashioned profanity, ANY type discriminatory remarks will result in a direct trip to the trash-can folder. Yes, you have the right to free speech (and we love free speech!), but we’ve got to draw the line at comments that could offend our listeners. So it’s fair game to include personal descriptions and opinions, but just pretend that your Grandma is sitting in the next room and can hear you!

Email your 30-45 second story pitch to us asap at show contact info

Subject line must read: “So this one time”

Body of email must include:

Storyteller’s first and last name

Storyteller’s city and state

Storyteller’s phone number

Contact info for at least one social media account of storyteller

(including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

So now that we have that out of the way, grab those drinks, start recording, have some fun strolling down memory lane, and WOW us with your “So this one time” story We can’t wait to hear what you come up with
