Your New Role

Due to an internal move, we have a unique opportunity as our Industry Development Manager – Industry Engagement.

This role will see you lead the Australian Industry Development, with a particular focus on new technologies for export opportunities. As a leader in the Australian Industry Development Office (IDO), you are responsible for increasing bid opportunities for Australian companies in the Leidos global supply chain.

The Office will provide training, develop skills, and help to promote Australian companies on a global scale. Under the direction of the Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Industry Engagement you will lead a high performing, and often disparate team, boost the profile of Australian businesses and ensure that Leidos meets all Government program requirements. Your office will liaise with personnel in other countries and there will be a significant amount of domestic travel in the role as well as a potential for overseas travel.

Specific Functions;

  • Manage the IDO as a high performing business unit whose roles are understood across Leidos globally
  • Establish enduring relationships with Australian industry, government and internal business lines to promote export opportunities
  • Manage the annual budget of the Program to ensure compliance
  • Manage and track emergent actions and risks which are identified through the Program Performance Indicators
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Operations and Technology teams to continuously identify and assess potential companies for involvement in GSC
  • Develop a forward itinerary for international and domestic conferences
  • Manage members of the IDO, including establishing regular reporting processes for dissemination of business critical information

Qualifications

About You and What You’ll Bring

  • You will have an understanding of Australian Industry policy and government policy and intent with respect to GSC Program and exports
  • Understanding of defence export processes, particularly with respect to Australia and the US
  • Significant experience in roles with complex stakeholder engagement requirements
  • Experience providing reporting to government and senior executive teams
