Arthrex is currently seeking a Senior Metrologist to join our team at the manufacturing facility in Ave Maria , FL. The Senior Metrologist will monitor throughput, workflow and production. They will also write and execute Quality programs on the Zeiss CMM, Micro-Vu and other equipment, verify programs with manufacturing and Quality Engineers, manage CMM programming throughout manufacturing and assist with training personnel on programming software that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the internal and /or external clients expectations by providing superior quality products and service. Excellent programming and analytical skills, strong mechanical aptitude and 12 years plus experience in manufacturing will be essential for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Priorities are aligned with Purchasing and Production requests and with Quality Control Mangers/Supervisors plan.

Liason between engineering and prototype requests to determine the best outcomes.

Applies advanced metrology knowledge and coaches programming principles to the Arthrex & Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. entities.

Has basic knowledge on all software programs, but working towards a full working knowledge.

May assist with training and fielding questions from the machine operators and Quality and Manufacturing Engineers as needed.

Work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that all set-ups and programs are accurate.

Work with Manufacturing Engineers on prototype inspections and fixtures.

Has superior knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning.

Identifies and drives cost reduction projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principle

Works closely with the team to determine were attribute gauging might make us more efficient.

Maintains compliance and executes all internal policies, procedures and all related paperwork under ISO/FDA guidelines

Education and Experience:

12 years experience in a manufacturing setting with Strong CMM programming skills and general CAD knowledge.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Mechanical Aptitude. Full working knowledge of machining properties of common metals and alloys. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blue prints. General knowledge of drafting concepts.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Zeiss CMM programming skills.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Strong ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
