PURPOSE
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from mobilization to completion while ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. They are the eyes and ears of the Project Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee all onsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
Meet contractual conditions of performance
Review the work progress daily
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements
Continually monitor progress of projects; review reports to ensure adherence to timeline and budgetary guidelines
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on assigned projects
Qualifications
Proven working experience in Construction Management
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities simultaneously
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Ideal Experience
Prior experience in the solar PV & construction industry
Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
