Job Summary:
The Sales Associate/Optician at Cool Springs EyeCare styles, measures, fits and adapts lenses and frames for patients according to written optical prescription or specification. This position assists patients with selecting frames and verifies exactness of finished lens spectacles. The Optician will provide the highest standards and professional services to our patients.
Hours: Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet patients with a smile.
Assist patients/walk-in customers with frame selection
Recommend specific lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs
Order requested lenses and frames, filing appropriate insurances
Handle minor repairs and frame adjustments
Assist patients in adapting to new lenses
Use of lensometer to verify Rx
Maintain high quality and patient satisfaction
Verify accurate measurements, correct pricing and realistic delivery time quotes/promise dates
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience:
1+ years of Optical experience is preferred; At least 1 year of relevant sales experience; Lens and insurance billing knowledge.
