Growing East Nashville General Contractor in need of a full time Construction Accounting Manager
Under general direction of the Controller and Company President
Position Summary
Process client billings based on approved estimates, accept and post client payments
Prepare, post, and make bank deposits
Supervise accounts payable entry, locate and correct any errors, reconciling vendor and subcontractor accounts on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy
Monitor/supervise vendor W9s and Certificates of Insurance are accurate and up to date
Supervise processing of 1099s at year end
Verify Subcontractor payments are in accordance with signed Subcontractor Agreements prior to initiation of payments
Process and submit approved loan draw requests on construction build projects
Initiate bank intercompany funds transfers
Post intercompany transactions accurately reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
Assist with licensing, permitting, and entity formation
Reconcile credit card accounts on a monthly basis
Reconcile all bank statements
Collaborate to establish internal controls and processes
Assist with other projects as required
Requirements
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction accounting experience
Must be proficient in the applications of QuickBooks, Google Docs, Google Drive, Adobe PDF, and Excel
Great written and verbal communication skills
Position requires a background check
