Kelly Services is seeking an Packaging Validation Engineer for our well-known client in the Medical Device Industry in Cordova TN. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with labelling and packaging requirements in the medical device industry. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.Title: Packaging Validation EngineerLocation: Cordova TNDuration: 9 monthsJob DescriptionPurpose:Be part of the development and introduction of new products and work extensively with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing Operations to take a product from design concept through production ramp up. Specific responsibilities of the Senior Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following: Process development for cleaning, sterile packaging and sterilization Review drawings for Design for Manufacturability Utilize design transfer tools such as Process Flow chart, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis and Process ValidationWhat you needA Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline is required for this role.Ideal candidates will also possess the following skills/experiences:
The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years of experience with labelling and packaging requirements in the medical device industry.
Preferred background in new product development for packaging or remediation of packaging elements.
Professional experience with manufacturing processes for cleaning, sterile packaging and sterilization is required
Experience in supplier process development is highly preferred
Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have working knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to technical manufacturing and design issues
Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing
Proven ability to effectively work in a fast paced, dynamic and results oriented team environment
Excellent Interpersonal Skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Core competencies include :
Demonstrated expertise with packaging ISO and ISTA standards
Design control
Protocol writing
Technical writing
Change management
Microsoft office
