Job Description

This role is responsible for conceptualising, implementing and managing the provision of a broad range of global marketing and communications initiatives to deliver the most cost-effective promotion of De Beers Group IgniteTM Incubation, Commercial Technology and Ventures functions.

Some of the key tasks include:

  • Managingthe relationship between De Beers Group IgniteTM and the De Beers Group Corporate Communication team.
  • Conceptualization, planning, execution and completion of global marketing initiatives in line with the strategic objectives of De Beers Group IgniteTM Function including but not limited to:Website management, maintenance, updating and new content creationProduct brochure / catalogsMedia editorial contributions
  • Internal promotion of key events in respect of new technology products, technology incubation projects business model innovations and case studies highlighting benefits of technology deployment.
  • Continuous co-ordination of work output from internal and external providers to create compelling and evolving marketing initiatives.
  • Preparation of marketing related annual budgets in line with identified marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluation of impact of marketing initiatives and the continuous improvement thereof.

Qualifications

Education required

  • Tertiary marketing or related qualification and / or proven experience in the marketing of niche application technology products.

Knowledge & Experience required

  • Understanding of e-marketing techniques.
  • Proven experience in the marketing of niche application technology products.
  • Organising, scheduling, and monitoring in a dynamic client driven environment.
  • Understanding of public relations.
  • Broad technical knowledge allowing understanding of function, design and potential applications of technology products and services.
