This position is located at the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center; the facility, within the Great Plains Area Indian Health Service, Tribal & Urban programs healthcare delivery system. The incumbent is responsible for managing the Quality Management Program and maintaining accreditation with Center of Medicare Services (CMS), and sustaining accreditation with a deemed status accrediting agency.ResponsibilitiesProvides Overall Management for the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Program. Provides Education for Performance Improvement Initiatives. Collects and Analyzes Data. Compiles/ Submits QA/PI Reports. A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement. Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957. Seasonal Influenza immunization is required for civilian health care facility staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Knowledge of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) and/or Risk Management (RM) projects related to patient care, taking on tasks to help achieve project goals; gathering and analyzing date, and preparing reports following the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA); and thorough working knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation (COP's) and EMTALA regulations. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
