Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The Military Planner will be responsible for providing facility assessment and recommendation inside the Offutt Air Force Base which was affected by the recent flooding.

This position is located in Nebraska.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare Facilities Planning Documents (FPD)

Perform life cycle and economic analyses

Validate existing facility use and floor plans, conduct gap analysis, facilitate workshops and meetings

Conduct a gap analysis between existing space and the facility requirements for each to document inadequate space utilization

Visit work sites to obtain information on facility/site conditions to develop and recommend appropriate unit relocations to improve the utilization of space

Create electronic drawings (AutoCAD) for the surveyed buildings/facilities that are not yet in the file

Perform Asset Evaluation Surveys

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Degree in Planning, Engineering, or any relevant field

4 years experience in the discipline; Community Planning, Military Planning experience, beneficial

AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) desired, but not required

Valid Drivers License

Strong Communications skills in English both written and oral

Ability to acquire base access
