House Keeping - Front Desk
The House Keeping generally starts at 9:30 am which is our check-out time. Most of the time a house keeping shift will run 4 to 6 hours. Generally a single house keeper will clean two to three cottages a day depending on the size of the unit. (Our lodges would take one person most of the day.) Our check-in time is 3 pm, so most of our house keeping has to be done by that time. A typical two bedroom cottage will generally take one person about one and a half to two hours to clean. We are very particular about cleaning and try to go the extra mile on each clean. Our cottages are in excellent condition with newer appliances and have air conditioning, so it is a pleasant work environment.
We start at $12 per hour. After a reasonable time frame, generally around two weeks, we like to meet and confirm that all parties are happy with the arrangement. If that is affirmative, we would ask for a solid commitment until the end of the season. A year end bonus for completing the season starts at $3 per hour for each hour worked during the season making the total compensation $15 per hour. Team members returning for an additional season will be accorded with higher wages.
