Job Description

In this role, you will be required to deliver projects using proper and thorough project management methodologies, build and maintain long term relationships and support other project analysts in the same team.

Your role requires you to transition work between Business Units and GSS. To do this you need to understand transactional finance processes, general accounting processes as well as Global Shared Services employee services processes. Knowledge of these business principles are important, but you are not required to perform these functions yourself. You will also be involved in other projects that affect multiple business units and GSS.

Your focus should be delivery orientated and your approach needs to be flexible and considered toward working hours, method of delivery, relationships with people and problem solving.

As part of your tasks you will provide full-time support to the transition/project teams and stakeholders ensuring that adequate change management and communication processes are embedded in each transition/project.

You will also be required to ensure that project/transition is tracked against agreed project plan and budget; ensure stakeholder buy-in and adaptability to changes emanating from the transition projects and ensure effective and efficient collaboration amongst key stakeholders.

This role is in the Global Shared Services- Global Support department at a Band 7 level reporting to the Transitions Superintendent.

Qualifications

You will need the following:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management or similar qualification

Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management methodologies (PMBOK/ Prince2, or any formal methodologies)

Detailed knowledge of accounting and employee service offerings and processes;

Demonstrated experience in projects that span multiple business units

Shared services knowledge and experience will be beneficial

Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project

Setting clear direction and priorities and gaining support of others
